Something new to report… nobody knows what’s going in Washington D.C., particularly regarding the appointment of the new acting director of the CFPB. In an effort to block Mick Mulvaney ever stepping foot into the CFPB offices… the deputy director of the CFPB, Leandra English, sued the Trump administration late Sunday evening (that’s typically when I like to file my lawsuits as well). You can check out the paperwork here. What does this mean for the Mulvaney and the CFPB? Nothing really… according to law Mulvaney is the acting director despite the language sited in the Dodd-Frank Act. If anything, it was a valiant effort for English to undermine the President’s selection and of course add another excellent episode to the soon to be Emmy nominated reality TV show, “The Real President of Washington D.C.” which airs on CNN, CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC and other media outlets across the country… daily.
If you’re like me the “Holiday Hangover” has set in deep and your biggest “work” project is staying sober-ish during the office holiday party. Because let’s be honest, the last thing you need is an awkward Monday morning trying to explain to your co-workers why it’s impossible to NOT dance to a Bruno Mars song. So, what is the best way to deal with the “Holiday Hangover”? Don’t deal with anything… embrace it. Enjoy this time of year… awkwardly dance to Bruno Mars, have a few libations and prepare yourself for 2018 because according to the MBA there will be plenty of volume to go around.
